Tina
I am the proud owner and operator of Esquire and the Lady. I graduated from the cosmetology program at Westminster’s career and tech center in 1990. Before ownership, I worked under a master barber as an apprentice and received my master barbers license.
Although I enjoy all aspects in the artistry of hair, my expertise lies in barbering. Barbering allows me to exceed in vast hairstyles, including my specialty in men’s haircuts, such as flattops and fades, and women’s cuts and perms. Other skills also include color and facial waxing.
Since elementary school, I have had an eagerness to become a stylist and have devoted my time to establish a place of business I can also happily call “my dream come true.”
Tina S.
“I have always dreamed of being a hairdresser.” This is what Martina “Tina” Saboury said since the early 80’s when she wanted to enroll in the cosmetology program offered at the Vo-tech at Westminster High School. That dream was set aside for about 35 years when Tina finally gave up her medical assistant career and decided to go back to school. She enrolled at the Maryland Beauty Academy in Westminster and after 10 months, she completed her degree and became a licensed cosmetologist in 2018. In 2019, she began working full time at The Esquire and the Lady Salon.

When she isn’t styling hair, you can find her at the Ballet Slipper where she has been dancing since 1971 or at the race track with her world champion drag racer husband, Rod. She also absolutely adores her 9 cats and 1 dog.
